Described in Cox (1912): "Octagonal font is unusually small, diameter only 20 in.; marks of staple and hinge of original cover denote its age ; probably I4th cent." Cox (1912) notes also an "ancient disused chapel", with a Norman doorway; this church has a font as well, which Cox (ibid.) describes as: "a small example of modern pedestal contrivance" [no separate entry in this Index]
