Described in Cox (1912): "Font a fine bold example about like date [i.e., 1485, the date the tower is believed to have been built], as shown by tracery with ornaments panels of octagonal bowl; it stands on a chalice-shaped base." Described in Pevsner & Williamson (1979): "C15, with a variety of blank Perp[endicular] tracery panelling."
