Described in Pevsner (1958): "Octagonal, Perp[endicular], panelled stem and underside of the bowl." Noted in the Parish web site [http://www.nynehead.org/] [accessed 24 September 200]: "The font is of the perpendicular style of the 15th century " The font consists of an octagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with deeply-carved quatrefoils inscribing floral motifs, the underbowl chamfer with pairs of trefoiled arches or windows, on a panelled pedestal base.
