There is an entry for Greinton [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/ST4136/greinton/] [accessed 25 April 2018], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The entry for this parish in the Victoria County History (Somerset, vol. 8, 2004) notes: "The south doorway indicates that a church had been established by the 12th century, and its elevated position perhaps points to a pre-Christian site […] Most furnishings date from the 19th century", but does not mention a font. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: ST4126036414] reports a 19th-century font in it. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font of this church]
