Catalogued in the Patrimoine de France database [http://www.patrimoine-de-france.org/richesses-20-7253-54797.html] [accessed 19 September 2009] [Inventaire général, 1987 -- Référence : IM29001904] as a baptismal font of the 17th century made of granite recently [1987] moved from the baptismal chapel to near the main altar. The font consists of a round tapering basin decorated with a thick moulding at the upper rim, a thinner one below, a pattern of ribs all around and a thin moulding at the underbowl; raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base and much damaged octagonal lower base. Low-dome metal cover with cross finial, made of brass; modern. The inner well of the basin is lined with metal and it appears hemispheric, but there is marble container resembling a Le Creuset cooking pot which seems to be used for the baptismal water these days; it appears however to made of a whitish marble and has a matching cover with a metal ring handle. [NB: the object now [2009] being used as holy-water stoup at Plouguerneau is similar to this font] [cf. Index entry for Plounevez-Lochrist No. 2 for another listed object in this church].
