Noted in Lewis (1876): "The font, which is octagonal […] stands near the porch". In Pevsner (1958): "Octagonal, Perp[endicular], with quatrefoils and shields." Described in the National Monuments Record, English Heritage [http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=267267] [accessed 14 September 2009]: "octagonal, Perpendicular with quatrefoils and shields". The Norton St. Philip web page [http://www.hks.demon.co.uk/norton/history.htm] [accessed 14 September 2009] notes: "the font, which is octagonal, having obliterated coats of arms, interspersed with figures, one of which represents the crucifixion." [NB: it is not clear from the context whether the reference to figures and the crucifixion is made for the font or a tomb nearby, most likely the latter].
