Batismal font made of marble consisting of a shallow hemispherical basin decorated with mouldings on the side and a ribbed pattern on the underbowl, raised on a baluster-type square pedestal base; the basin has no drain. The wooden cover is round and flat except for a large scallop-shell carved as finial; the cover has a trap-like door cut into the centre, with an handle to raise it and provide access to the water. A wooden stoup-like object stands next to the font, with a tiny octagonal basin with a hinged cover, and raised on a baluster type base, also wooden; it may be used to hold the salt, oils, chrism, etc. [cf. BSI entry for Saint Thegonnec No. 2 for an object now used as sroup but perhaps an earlier font here]
