Described in Rutter (1829): "The font is octagonal, and the sides ornamented with roses in quatrefoils; one of which contains a shield with arms." Noted in Pevsner (1958) as an octagonal font of the Perpendicular period. The Parish web site [http://www.htnailsea.org.uk/htn/guide_to_holy_trinity_church.htm] [accesses 10 September 2009] informs: "The octagonal Tudor-style font has panels containing various devices, including the Tudor Rose and Five Wounds." [NB: the 'dield with arms' mentioned in Rutter [cf. supra] may be the Five Wounds described in the Parish site].
