Noted in Pevsner & Wilson (1999): "Big octagonal bowl. Up its lower half traceried gables. Top battlements." Illustrated in Knott (2006). On a plain octagonal stem and a lower base with two thin volumes: the upper is octagonal, the lower is square. Octagonal plinth. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, with a finial that appears to be a stylised version of the four-ribs of the Jacobean fonts; Victorian?
