Font Notes:
Blomefield (1805-1810) writes: "The church here is dedicated to all the Saints, and hath a square tower and five large bells; the south porch, south isle, nave, and chancel are all leaded"; "Robert de Hegham" is given as the name of the first vicar recorded here, in 1310. The present font here is described in Pevsner & Wilson (1999): "Octagonal, with flat-curved motifs of Dec[orated] windows. The stem has shafts." Noted and illustrated in Knott (2006): "The traceried font sits on its collonade at the west end of the nave". The outer colonnettes of the base are round and detached from the main shaft, which is octagonal and decorated with tracery; on an octagonal lower base. Raised on a two-step plinth.
