Blomefield (1805-1810), who does not mention a font in it, notes the church: "The Church is dedicated to St. Andrew the Apostle, having a square tower, and but one bell, though not long since there were five", and names John de Petrestre as rector in 1297. Described in Pevsner & Wilson (1999): "Perp[endicular]. Four lions against the stem, eight demi-figures of angels against the bowl." Noted and illustrated in Knott (2007) as having survived the devastating fire of 1963. [NB: we have no information on the font of the late-thirteen church here].
