Baptismal font of the 17th century made of sandstone, noted and illustrated in Visites Aquitaine [visites.aquitaine.fr/fonts-baptismaux-10829] [accessed 25 November 2013]: "L’église Saint-Orens possède des fonts baptismaux du XVIIe siècle qui viennet enrichir le mobilier intérieur. Il s’agit d’un bassin destiné à l’eau du baptème. Ici, la cuve en grès repose sur un pied de forme circulaire et elle est recouverte d’un couvercle en bois. Ces fonts baprismaux mesurent plus d’un mètre de haut." The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with simple flat mouldings; the pedestal base is irregular round, not quite cylindrical and has a roll moulding around its middle; there is at least one metal staple for an old cover. It is a rather crude work, medieval in general appearance and design [cf. infra]. Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM64002229]: "fonts baptismaux [...] grès : taillé [...] pied ; plan (circulaire) [...] 17e siècle". The wooden cover is also listed in the same entry: "couvercle en bois : taillé". The church has also a marble pedestal holy-water stoup of the 18th century.
