This is one of the medieval baptismal font in the collegiate church of San Martin de Elines; unlike the others listed in the several entries for this church in BSI, it is located inside the church, in an alcove off the nave; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin with a single thin moulding just below the upper rim; it is raised on a round pedestal base, almost cylindrical in shape, decorated with a round moulding atop and a flat one at the bottom end; there is no cover present but the upper rim of the basin shows two metal staples from an earlier cover. The location of the font appears to indicate it is now disused, and we do not know where the font originated.
