The baptismal font consists of an octagonal basin with an inscription around the narrow sides; the tal curved underbowl has pairs of crowned charged shields and crowned emblems [one is a crowned M, for Mary the Virgin, one would think, unless it stands for Montemale]; the pedestal base has the usual shape but the protruding centre ring is roun, not the usual octagonal of the Zabreri fonts; the splaying lower base has a scalloped finish, the letter M prominent on one of the scallops. The font cover is a modern octagonal low-pyramid with a ball finial; modern. This font is most likely the product of a local mason that followed the general design of the Zabreri workshop fonts [NB: Mastacchi has it as "not Zabreri" -- e-mail to BSI, July 2009]
