"prezioso fonte battesimale del 1450, commissionato dal Castellano agli Zabreri, artisti della Val Maira per l'Antica parrocchiale del Castello e trasferito all'attuale dimora alcune decine d'anni fa" [source: http://www.paesidisandalmazzo.eu/manta/turismo.html [accessed 8 July 2009]]. Much like the font at Fossano, with the beginning of the Credo text on the basin sides, and letters on the protruding octagonal ring of the otherwise round pedestal base; the underbowl is decorated with the usual foliage and scallop motifs.
