Noted in the entry for this church in the Direcció General del Patrimoni Cultural de la Generalitat de Catalunya [http://patmapa.gencat.cat/web/guest/patrimoni/arquitectura?articleId=HTTP://GAUDI_ELEMENTARQUITECTONIC_9923] [accessed9 July 2013]: "La pica baptismal de l'església correspon al segle XVIII, moment en què es realitzaren reformes i decoracions al temple. Està ornada amb grans fullatges estilitzats i amida 80 cm d'alçada i 85 cm de diàmetre". One of three baptismal fonts in this church, the one in use at present. It is a late font [NB: we are not quite certain about the internal construction of the additional basin hidden under the wooden cover; the latter fits the width of the basin, but it is raised at the centre, with doors that open to provide access to the inner well].
