There is no church or cleric mentioned in the Domesday entry for "Frietorp". Blomefield (1805-1810) writes "The Church is dedicated to All-Saints, was a rectory ;...] 1307, William de Bernwell instituted vicar, nominated by the Bishop of Norwich, and presented by the prior of St. Faith's." The pressent font is noted in Pevsner & Wilson (1997): "Font. Octagonal, the stem with sides carved in a reeded fashion." The octagonal basin has plain tapering sides and a moulded underbowl; the octagonal stem has piping on the sides, the lower base moulded. The wooden cover is octagonal and appears modern. The whole font appears too neat and sharp for its age, probably re-tooled.
