Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a plain quadrangular font; the outer edges of the basin are rounded, not so those on the inside; raised on a similarly shaped base. There is some damage to the upper rim on one side. The Enciclopedia… (ibid.) does not suggest a date but notes that is crudely made [="tosca"]. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 7 February 2022] notes: "En la fachada de la iglesia se conserva la inscripción de fundación de un antiguo monasterio, dedicado a San Juan Evangelista, de 1159 del que hay noticias ya en 965", but mentions no font in it.
