The goblet-shaped font located in the apse is reported in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ); the interior of this church may date from the re-construction of the old Romanesque church at the beginning of the 18th century; the basin is plain but for a moulding at the underbowl; raised on a round-to-square pedestal base. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 14 December 2021] notes: "iglesia [...] dedicada a San Cipriano y San Cornelio; tiene planta románica, muy remodelada [...] abandonada, en ruinas [...] La pila es de copa con molduras en los bordes." The Enciclopedia entry [cf. supra] shows the font inside the church, in the apse, at the time [pre-2002]; the font has been moved out of the ruin and left outside, in the open, as a planter. An article in the Diario de Burgos (23 September 2021 edition) notes: "Los vecinos han rescatado su pila bautismal, una de sus señas de identidad, para evitar que desaparezca entre los escombros", although it could be argued that leaving the font open to the elements may not be much of a rescue. [NB: we have no information on the earlier font of this church]
