The plan is opposed by the municipality, which wants the abandoned church recovered [https://www.diariodeburgos.es/noticia/Z751072AE-FBCF-9FAA-635414C3FB562CA9/202009/Ahedo-pide-ayuda-para-limpiar-el-entorno-de-la-iglesia] [accessed 31 January 2021]

The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 31 January 2021] notes: "Su iglesia, dedicada a San Martín, obispo, y [...] hoy es pura ruina. Era de estilo románico, del siglo XII, [...] la pila de bautismo, también románica, se encuentra recogida en la iglesia parroquial del vecino pueblo de San Pedro de la Hoz." Described in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a baptismal font with a plain hemispherical basin raised on a plain cylindrical base; though of Romanesque design, the font appears to be of a later period. The Enciclopedia… (ibid.) informs that the font was moved to San Pedro de la Hoz, also in the municipality of Galbarros, where it is located in a chapel on the south side of the nave. [cf. BSI entry for San Pedro de la Hoz for a medieval(?) holy-water stoup in that church].
