Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a baptismal font consisting of a hemispherical basin that is plain except for a very worn double-rope moulding at the upper rim; raised on a short and plain cylindrical base [actually the inner sides of the basin are patterned with concave ribbing]. The Enciclopedia… (ibid.) informs that this 12th- 13th-century font used to be at the west end of the nave but was moved to an alcove on the north side of the nave: "El único testimonio románico conservado en su iglesia parroquial es una pila bautismal instalada en un cuarto del lado norte adonde fue trasladada desde su primitivo emplazamiento situado a los pies de la nave. Consta de un sencillo pie cilíndrico sobre el que apoya una copa semiesférica (94 cm de diámetro × 59 cm de altura), con el interior avenerado y una moldura sogueada en la embocadura. Por su forma podría datarse en torno a finales del siglo XII o principios del XIII." [NB: the concave ribbing of the basin interior is more characteristic of later fonts].
