Font Notes:
The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) reports a baptismal font consisting of a plain hemispherical basin on a large base in a garden of the town; it may be originally from the parish church, San Saturnino [cf. infra]. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 2 November 2021] notes: "A las afueras del pueblo, en un alto, está situada su iglesia, ahora en desuso, dedicada a San Saturnino, gótica, de tres naves [...] La nave de la izquierda es románica [...] Su ábside es románico en el lateral izquierdo [...] La portada es gótica [...] y tiene otra románica cegada, apuntada, con fustes, capiteles y arquivoltas decoradas y con ajedrezado [...] La pila bautismal, de copa lisa y base moldurada está ahora en la plaza, junto a la iglesia nueva, sin ningún uso ni utilidad. Como pila de bautismo utilizan ahora la pila del agua bendita de la antigua iglesia."
