The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed December 2022] reports a Romanesque font in its church: "La pila es románica, sencilla y lisa, con base circular moldurada". The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_TURZO.pdf] [accessed 21 December 2022] notes the plain basin of a baptismal font of Romanesque design, although the carving pattern suggests a date in the Gothic period: "En el interior se conserva la copa lisa de una pila bautismal de traza románica, con 101 cm de diámetro por 52 cm de altura, cuya imprecisa cronología debe entrar ya en el período gótico, como parece sugerir su talla a trinchante." Nebreda Perdiguero [cf. supra] mentions a moulded base for this font but photographs of the church interior and the font taken in 2022 show no trace of any base. No cover preesent but the basin shows considerable damage related to cover anchorings at the upper rim.
