The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) does not mention the font in its entry for Solanas de Valdelucio, although a font is included in the plant and section drawings of this church, and the text indicates that a niche was made for the font in post-medieval times. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 1 February 2022] notes: "Su iglesia, dedicada a San Cristóbal, mártir; es de una nave con restos románicos [...] La pila, buena, es románica, tipo cáliz, con gallones, pie cilíndrico y base cuadrada con molduras".
[NB: the church itself is originally Romanesque but we have no confirmation on the period of the font yet].
