The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 22 July 2021] notes: "Tiene su iglesia dedicada a El Salvador y es renacentista [...] La pila, buena, es románica con gallones y avenerada por dentro, con pie cilíndrico y base moldurada". Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) as a limestone baptismal font of the Romanesque period consisting of a hemispherical basin decorated with broad ribbed pattern on the outside, a moulding where it meets the plain cylindrical stem, and lower base consisting of two parallel mouldings. The plain wooden cover is modern.
