Font Notes:
The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 1 May 2021] notes: "Tiene su iglesia dedicada a Santa Eulalia, virgen y mártir, y es renacentista [...] La pila es románica con decoración". Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_PALAZAUELOS_DE_VILLADIEGO.pdf] [accessed 30 April 2021] as a baptismal font of the early decades of the 13th century, consisting of a hemispherical basin decorated with arch-heads and a ribbed pattern belowl raised on a plain cylindrical stem and a lower base with two volumes, the upper round, the lower square; this lower base is very damaged and eroded, but the Enciclopedia…
