The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ), in its entry for Humada, describes and illustrates a baptismal font that consists of a roughly hemispherical basin of reddish stone decorated with a broad ribbed pattern on the outside, raised on a short and plain cylindrical stem, and on a lower base that consists of an upper roll moulding with animal heads and ball motif, and a lower square volume [NB: the Enciclopedia.. describes the moulding as a snake, which may have been the effect intended with the little angle heads. The wooden cover, flat and plain, is modern]. The Enciclopedia… The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 23 December 2021] notes: "iglesia, dedicada a San Miguel Arcángel, renacentista [...] There is a holy-water stoup inside the church; it appears to be a composite object. [NB: see Index entry for San Martin de Humada for another Romanesque font located in the nearby village of San Martin de Humada, Iglesia Parroquial de San Martín Obispo]
