The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 10 June 2021] notes: "iglesia de planta románica muy reformada, dedicada a la Inmaculada Concepción [...] El ábside es románico [...] La portada es también románica de medio punto, cubierta de yeso [...] La pila es románica, lisa, con borde superior torneado y cabezas de león en la base". No entry found for this font in Bilbao (1996). Described in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ); the font consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated at the upper rim with a moulding that appears to have been traced with interlace but is now very worn now; the sides plain; there are two metal staples from an old cover at the upper rim; the short base has two heads: one is human, the other of a fabulous animal or monster. Raised on a plinth. No cover present.
