There are three entries for this Ingham [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TL8570/ingham/] [accessed 31 May 2024], one of which reports "1 church. 0.2 church lands" in it. Listed in Cautley (1982) as a baptismal font of the 12th century. [NB: Knott (2008) reports the church gutted of most of its furnishings] The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TL8552570546] notes: "Parish church of C14 and earlier origin, much restored in 1861 [...] Below at the west end of the nave, a plain square late C12 font with unusual moulded bases to the angles, resembling a waterleaf form." [NB: a 2018 photograph [cf. ImagesArea] appears to show the font just left [south] of the W doorway]
