Noted in Cautley (1982) as a baptismal font of the Decorated period; Cautley quotes Davy (?) for the font having been "removed and ormanented" in 1810 and "made away with altogether by a follower of the Oxford Movement" in the 1870s. The present font [see Whepstead entry in Knott's Suffolk Churches] is a 19th-century replacement.
