Described and illustrated in Delgado Gómez (s.d.) as a basin of an ancient baptismal font discovered near Viance, near the former location of the Iglesia de Santiago and the hamlet of Supena; the author suggests it came originally from the disappeared church of Viance; described as a cylindrical stone (granite) basin with vertical walls inside and out; the author suggests a date much earlier than A.D. 1000, most likely in the Visigothic period, and meant to be used without a base, as in the early-Christian baptisteries. The dates reported in the nearby church are however in the early 13th century.
