Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of an octagnal basin raised on an octagonal stem and lower base; the decoration is done in the classic Perpendicular style: quatrefoil panels on the basin; rosettes on the underbowl chamfer, trefoil-headed arches or windows on the stem, but the font is 19th-century Victorian. The wooden cover is pyramidal octagonal, very elegant, with decorated and gilded edges and arrises, and finial. [NB: the church goes back to Norman times, but we have no information on the original font of that building]
