Kelly's Directory of 1883 reports "the font is ancient". Baptismal font consisting of a cylindrical basin with mouldings at the upper and the lower rims; raised on a circular pedestal decorated with a single moulding about one third down; lower base round at the top, square at the bottom. Font cover has a round wooden platform, with a set of raised metal scrolls and a cross finial. Pevsner (1958) notes: "Font 1823 (?)", but it is written under the "Plate" heading, and obviously refers to an object other than the baptismal font.
