Described and illustrated in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) and the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008), with date in the late-13th or early-14th century; the font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a cylindrical stem and lower base; both parts of the base have mouldings, but the lower base is hidden under the flooring now. Sáenz Rodríguez (ibid.) notes that the font, which may have been re-tooled, had been located earlier by the west side, but is now in the baptistery alcove on the north side of the nave, cemented to the wall. The illustrated entry for this font in Rioja Románica [www.riojaromanica.com/categorias/pilas-bautismales#galbarruli] [accessed 30 October 2020] reads: "La iglesia de San Esteban conserva una pila bautismal contemporánea del mismo [sic].
