Described in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) as a baptismal font originally from the abandoned Ermita de Santa Maria de Barrio, in Cellorigo; it was later moved to the Museo del claustro of the cathedral of San Salvador, in Santo Domingo de la Calzada; when the Iglesia de la Trinidad, Calahorra, was inaugurated in 2001 it received the old font from Cellorigo; in the original rural chapel the font was located in the northwest angle of the nave; it is dated to the late 12th century in Sáenz Rodríguez (ibid.), who gives the fonts at Turza and El Collado as cognates. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008) as a crude work consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base [not original]; it is totally devoid of ornamentation and therefore of difficult dating, but the Enciclopedia… (ibid.) suggests a late-12th century.
