Noted and illustrated in the village official web site [http://www.iterodelcastillo.com/arte.htm] [accessed 12 May 2009] as a holy-water stoup of the 12th century. The crudely rendered stoup consists of a round basin with very large faces carved on at least two of the sides; raised on a pedestal base; the whole object is embedded into a corner or pillar at the west end of the nave.
