Described in Pevsner (1958): "Octagonal, Perp[endicualr] (or C17?), with panelled stem and complicated quatrefoils, rosettes, crosses, etc., on the bowl." Noted and illustrated in Somerset Villages [http://www.worldisround.com/articles/333663/photo16.html] [accessed 3 May 2009]: "The font dates from the 14th century and was restored in the 19th century. " Octagonal basin with chamfered underbowl; raised on an octagonal stem, an octagonal-to-square lower base and a rectangular plinth; the basin sides, underbowl and stem are re-carved with Victorian tracery patterns. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, but quite thick; Victorian?
