The Médiathèque de l'architecture et du patrimoine [www.culture.gouv.fr/ public/mistral] shows a 1896 photograph of the font cover, and part of the basin of the font at St-Anne, Bruges [source: Collection Lucien Roy]. Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/82568] [accessed 14 November 2023]: "doopvont [...] Date: 1630 - 1630 [...] marmer, koper [...] Cock, Jacques (steenhouwer) [...] Heyndericx, Hans (koperslager) [...] hoogte: 250 cm" [NB: height here includes the font cover]. On-site notes: baptismal font of stone consisting of a large roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a pronounced moulding at the upper rim, otherwise plain; the basin appears to be made of black marble, but it may be Tournai limestone; on a moulded baluster pedestal base of veined pink marble and a narrow circular lower base of dark marble. The cover is a multi-layared dome of metal with gadrooned and moulded surfaces; it has a dove finial and a shield (?) with the initials 'SA' [NB: the 'SA" initials appear also under a bust in the chancel; are they Saint Ann's?] . The cover hangs from a metal wall-mounted crane.
