The entry for this church in the Wupper-Digitale-Fotografie [https://www.kdwupper.de/st-marienkirche-osnabrück.html] [accessed 23 August 2025] notes and illustrates a sandstone baptismal font of 1560 attributed to the workshop of Johann Brabender from Münster; the profusely decorated octagonal outer frame encases a square basin with panels of the Baptism of Christ, the Circumcision, Blessing of the Children and Redurrection; the base incluse in its layers the symbols of the Four Evangelists and lions holding coats or arms: "Taufe (1560, Werkstatt des Johann Brabender aus Münster zugeschrieben), Sandstein, quadratisches Becken auf achteckiger Bodenplatte, an deren Ecken kleine verzierte Säulen und Pfeiler, die die ebenfalls achteckige Deckplatte tragen, an den vier Beckenseiten Reliefs: Taufe Christi, Beschneidung, Segnung der Kinder, Auferstehung; am Fuß der Taufe Evangelistensymbole und Löwen mit Wappentafeln."
