Lübke (1870) notes two fonts of the Gothic period with figural ornamentation at Soest: one in the Medow church and another one at the Cathedral of St. Paul, St. Peter & St. Thomas. Noted and illustrated as Gothic font in A. Ludorff's Die Bau- und Kunstdenkmäler des Kreises Soest (1905). The font at St-Patrokli is high-Gothic, an octagonal basin with wertical sides decorated with window tracery and a moulded lower base also octagonal; it appears monolithic but the lower base may be a separate block now cemented to the rest. The round cover is modern and appears to be made of wood, but the one seen in Ludorff's 1905 illustration looks like metal.
