The Victoria County History (Huntingdon, vol. 3, 1936) notes: "The church is mentioned in the Domesday Survey (1086), but nothing of this early church remains […] A general rebuilding seems to have been commenced towards the end of the 13th century […] The 15th-century font has an octagonal bowl with panelled sides and moulded cove, on a panelled stem with a modernised base." [NB: the VCH further noted extensive repairs, renovations and re-building in the 19th century]. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TL1682696516] notes: "Essentially a Decorated church, built from circa 1275 although the bases of the nave arcades are circa 1240 [...] C15 octagonal font with panelled bowl and stem."
