Described in the Victoria County History (Northampton, vol. 4, 1937): "The two western arches of the nave arcades date from c. 1180 and probably represent the full extent of the nave of a small 12th-century church [...] The font is ancient and consists of a plain octagonal bowl and stem on a chamfered base".
