The Victoria County History (Northampton, vol. 4, 1937) notes: "The oldest part of the building is the main south doorway, which dates from c. 1195 […] The altar rails are of the 18th century, and the font is late in the same period." The '5Churches' on-line guide (2005) to Little Harrowden St. Mary's [www.5churches.org.uk/additionalfiles/littleHarrowdenGuide.pdf] [accessed 31 May 2012] notes: "The font dates from the 19th Century and has an oak font cover dedicated as a War Memorial in 1950." [NB: we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church]
