There are two entries for Thornham [Parva] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TM1072/thornham-parva/] [accessed 20 November 2016], one of which mentions "0.8 churches. 0.08 church lands." in it. Parker (1855) writes: "Font, E[arly] E[nglish], with an octagonal bowl." Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin decorated with varied tracery motifs on its sides; raised on a plain octagonal stem and a moulded lower base; the octagonal plinth may be of a later date, perhaps modern.
