Font Notes:
The present font at Geddington Parish Church consists of an octagonal basin with a rounded or chamfered upper rim and plain sides; tall underbowl chamfer; raised on a thin circular stem with a moulded lower base, and an octagonal plinth. This font is of an awkward design; the basin may have been re-cut; if not it may be modern. [NB: we have no information on the original font of the mid-10th century]
