Noted in the Lambfold Benefice web site [http://www.beneficeofbamf.f9.co.uk/Farthingstone.html] [accessed 7 April 2009]: "The font is 14th century and is of plain stone. It was thoroughly restored and reseated in 1852." The font consists of a plain octagonal basin with slightly tapering sides, raised on a square-to-octagonal base which is probably modern. [NB: there could have been an earlier font in the late-Norman church]
