Noted in Pevsner (1952): "Font. Plain, octagonal, with shields in the panels." The font consists of an octagonal basin of vertical sides, each panel decorated with a shiled charged, alternately, with Latin and saltire crosses; there are mouldings at the upper and lower rim of the basin; the underbowl is decorated with large square flowers; raised on a on octagonal stem with trefoil arches or niches on the sides; moulded lower base. The font has an odd look, perhaps due to the porous type of stone, and looks suspiciously modern, perhaps Victorian, though of Perpendicular design, but the Parish guide has it as late-14th century: "It was originally in Fitzford House in Tavistock, and Mary Fitz, Lady Howard, took it to Walreddon when she retired there. Later she gave the font to St. Andrew's Church". The wooden cover is octagonal, with handle; modern.
