Hoskins (1954) notes: "The church (St. Mary) is mainly a 15th century building, with considerable traces of earlier work, as in the S. transept. The whole church was greatly altered inside in the 17th century and again in the Victorian restoration." Hoskins does not mention a font, nor does Pevsner (1952). [NB: we have no information on the whereabouts of the original font of this church]
