[NB: it is likely that the font was moved to its present position after 1895, a time when some work is reported to have been done to the railing that housed the font: "Las obras más importantes se realizaron en 1679 modificándose el altar principal, la puerta principal, tejado y campanario y 1745 año en que se modificó el suelo de la iglesia. En el año 1895 se realizó el enrejado de la pila bautismal y una ventana circular de piedra sillar bajo la dirección de Domingo de Ezeiza."
