There is an entry for Lewtrenchard [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SX4586/lewtrenchard/] [accessed 6 December 2017]; it mentions neither priest nor church in it. Font here not mentioned in Stabb (1908), Pevsner (1952) or Hoskins (1954). [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to at least the 13th century, with a major renovation in the 15th, but we have no information on the early fonts(s) of this church]
